Integration is a complex and gradual process aimed at the inclusion of asylum seekers granted the refugee status in Armenia as full members of host society.
Asylum is protection granted to a foreign national in Armenia. It is a peaceful and humanitarian action without criticism to any other country.
The Migration and Citizenship Service was established within the Ministry of Internal Affairs
On December 16, 2022 the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia fully adopted the legislative package on establishing the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) in the second reading. On the basis of the Migration Service of Armenia and the Passport and Visa Department of the Police, the Migration and Citizenship Service (MSS) has been established within the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Currently, two entities are in the transitional phase of restructuring. Provision of public services to the RA citizens and foreigners continues without any changes. This website remains available as the content of the website contains useful information for the RA citizens and foreigners. The new website of the Migration and Citizenship Service is currently under construction. Adequate public awareness on changes in service delivery as well as functions of the Service will be organized in a timely manner.
The Migration Service generates statistics on asylum, refugees, and readmission. Other statistics presented below are obtained from partner organizations.

About Migration Service
The Migration Service is a state agency of the Executive branch acting as part of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, which renders services in the field of migration acting on behalf of the Republic of Armenia in cases prescribed by the law or, in certain circumstances, by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.
The Migration Service is a state body established by law, that is subordinated to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure. The Service operates on the basis of the Constitution, laws, other legal acts, and its charter.
Law on Public Administration Bodies
In accordance with article 159 of the Constitution, this law determines the scope of activities of government bodies, the formation procedure, and also regulates other relations related to these bodies.
Such bodies are ministries, as well as bodies subordinate to the government, the prime minister, and ministries, such as the Migration Service.

The Decree of the Government on bodies subordinate to the Ministry determines the list of bodies subordinate to the Ministries of the Republic of Armenia.

These persecutions can pose a serious threat to the lives and freedoms of these people.
